Do I have to light these like a candle?
Never. Reed Diffusers require no dangerous flames whatsoever. The natural action of the reeds wicking the oil from within the bottle brings the fragrance into the air all by itself.

How long do they last?
That is a tough question. It depends on how much oil is in the bottle, the number of reeds you use and how often you turn them. They could last anywhere from 4 months to over a year.

Should I turn the reeds?
Yes. After a period of time, the oil slows down going up the reed. By turning, or
flipping the reeds, it starts the process all over again. If the reeds get all dusty, simply replace with a set of new reeds.

What if I get tired of the scent or want to change it?
Every bottle, or reed diffuser kit, comes with a cork. You can pull the reeds
out of your bottle and cork it for later use. If you only have a little fragrance oil left, you can throw it away, wash the bottle out and use a new scent. You can move it to a different room as well.

Can this oil be used as a body lotion?
No, it should not be. This has been designed to use in Reed Diffusers. It does not hurt to touch it when flipping the reeds. You can rub into your hands or wash with soap and water.

Are some scents stronger than others?
That is also a difficult question. We all have a different sense of smell. Some scents will smell stronger to some people and not to others. What is nice about a Reed Diffuser is that you can control the amount of fresh smelling scent you want. The more reeds you use, the more scent you get.

Why do some department stores sell them for less?
If you look at some of what you see on the shelf in a store, look at what is
in it. Oil, then alcohol, then the fragrance oil. Alcohol is something that
evaporates, which means the scent will not last nearly as long. Would you
rather get 25% more or less fragrance? You get what you pay for.
